Rockcliffe is a lovely family friendly beach. Nice for picnics or paddling, and you can take a nice walk along to castle point from the car park, or walk to Kippford. Check tide times to ensure tide is in as it goes out quite far. You can do this by googling Tide Times Kippford/Rockcliffe

Gorgeous walk along Kippford shore. All on tarmac path so suitable for wheelchairs or buggies too. Been going there's since I was a kid and still love it. Also a great spot for sunsets! Check tide times also before hand though still a nice walk when the tide is out a bit.

Family Day Out
Absolutely great day out for families or even teens (my daughter and friends went recently aged 19!) Good range of activities including the straw bale rope swing and tractor ride, and baby goats. Good cafe too when I was last there. Website http://mabiefarmpark.co.uk

10 minutes walk down the hill from the caravan this family friendly restaurant has a wee outdoor play area, beer garden and good selection of food - although most does come with carrots and peas! Even the macaroni !! Been visiting since I was a lass and still pop along for a drink or meal. Lovely views and friendly service
