You don't need a car if you are just staying in the area!
It's nice to have a car especially if you want to take additional excursions and/or have people in your group who don't have great mobility, but you don't need one here. The village is less than 2km on a pretty easy footpath, and there are other shops, restaurants, and beaches even closer. If your booking includes transportation, they can bring you up to the villa; or you can arrange a transfer. Cars for the day can be hired in Kassiopi Village.

Bring a good set of footwear for the water.
Though there are loads of nice beaches around, having some good footwear for the water can allow you to explore even more beaches and plenty of other seaside formations that may be a bit tough on your bare feet. This means something a bit more substantial than flip-flops, usually something with a strap on the back (or slip-on) so as to keep it in place.

Don't forget your sunscreen!
Corfu's lush winds are deceptively cool and can make you feel like you don't need to wear your sunblock, but don't be fooled. The sun can be very strong in the summer time, and it is especially hard on fair skin. Enjoy the sun, but please do be careful.
