CUISINE: Pizza • Romana is the only pizzeria with mass of high digestibility using whole milled organic flours. The used ingredients are selected from the best local Italian and Portuguese productions. Ideal for a quick lunch.

CUISINE: Japanese • This is my favourite local Japanese restaurant. Although they also serve sushi, my favourite dishes are the more traditional Japanese meals. Yuko Yamamoto, a Japanese based in Portugal for more than a decade, goes far beyond sushi and extends to traditional Japanese dishes made with the seasonal products. Famous are the takoyaki (fried octopus balls), the salmon zukedon (salmon marinated over sushi rice) or the ika somen (squid sashimi). Try it out! :)

CUISINE: Meat • Excellent restaurant to go for dinner if you are in a mood to eat meat. This was the first restaurant of Chef Kiko where he dedicated his time to explore meat dishes. He now has 3 restaurants in Lisbon due to his success. I personally love the Beef tartar.

CUISINE: Portuguese fusion • This restaurant was born in 2009, with a unique tasting menu, where the irreverent chef Ljubomir Stanisic shows his most authorial side, in original creations. In this laboratory of his, each dish is a voyage through Portuguese flavours – working more and more closely with national suppliers - and, for now, there are only 30 seats available for you to get to know it. Soon, with no set date yet, the 100 Maneiras moves to another number on the same street and is likely to bring some novelties with it - if there is someone who likes to surprise, it's Ljubomir Stanisic.

CUISINE: Meat • Indecisive people, this restaurant will be a torment for you: there are several pieces of meat, from the matured entrecôte to Black Angus brisket, two ways to eat it, on bread or on the plate, and four possible side dishes. To complicate matters, the burgers are delicious (the cut of meat is also chosen by you), it is foolish to ignore the entrees - the provolone cheese and the grilled sausage are drool worthy - and there are even several rooms inside for you to decide where to steat. Not to mention the terrace, facing the Jardim Botânico (botanical garden).

CUISINE: Traditional Portuguese • The best suggestion you can give a tourist visiting Lisbon and wanting to sample Portuguese cuisine without worrying about the cost is to send him to Solar dos Presuntos - if he’s famous, he will end up immortalized on the wall of the restaurant and everything. In the house that prides itself on making Monção cuisine with a few touches of neighboring Galicia, everything is excellent: from the slices taken from the hams hanging from the window to the lobster rice and prawns, from the roe vinaigrette to the pudding for dessert. Perfect for: meeting Mr. Evaristo, landmark of the Lisbon restoration.Must try: the stew, served only on Wednesdays, made in 24 hours.
