Try Grocery Outlet, in the Lighthouse Square shopping center, near McMenaminns and the Dollar Store. Their wine, beer, cereal, frozen foods, and general "eating cheap while at an Airbnb" stuff is really good. I recommend it! Check out their chocolate aisle. The snack aisle has lots of nuts too, including the edible kind!

Avoid it if you can. Try shopping early or late if you need to. Also, watch it. This is a heavy pedestrian community. Please be extra careful with crosswalks.

When State of Oregon workers find an injured or ill sea lion on the beach, they will often use tape to create a perimeter. Don't disturb any animal that is ill or injured. Don't touch it, or attempt to move it. If an animal is distressed, don't approach it. Leave it.

Wednesdays a loud siren sounds. It's the system being tested. While it's a routine occurrence in LC, it can be frightening if you don't know what's going on.

Firework litter, plastic bottle litter, Starbuck's paper cup and plastic lid litter, plastic balloons released over the ocean's sealife litter, just don't do it. In fact, picking up some litter that others leave behind is one way you can very positively impact the environment. I come back with something to throw in our trash can at the Pacific Pearl every time I go to the beach.

Walking to the beach from Pacific Pearl takes about two minutes. Take something you can easily kick off once you're at the beach.

Every year, someone gets swept out to see during the King Tides season. Everyone wants to get close to the huge waves, but the problem is that the sea's unpredictably means that people are easily swept out to see. When children are involved, the ante is upped indeed. Please research "King Tides" in Lincoln City. Know before you go, and do NOT go onto the beach during a King Tide. Google's your friend. Use it and do your homework. Our windows are fantastic for watching, so stay inside with some hot chocolate. King Tides occur typically in November, December, January, February.

CLEAN and PICK UP-- Fireworks on the beach mess with ocean life. How? because people leave trash. The sea comes up high, takes trash into the ocean. BE COURTEOUS - Last year, in the Inn at Spanish Head area, a group of men harassed a family with racial slurs and threats. There had been some heavy drinking. That was over the 4th of July weekend. NO FIREWORKS HERE: Fireworks are upsetting to dogs and cats of our neighbors. Fireworks are never allowed in our driveway, on our decks or patios, or in the street. Thank you.

There are lots of deer, and I've seen dogs TAKE OFF and disappear. We have traffic on 101, and please don't invite disaster. Also, I have a neighbor with cameras in his yard. Please, please don't let your dogs off leash for even a minute in our yard. Thanks.
