Be aware of your surroundings...
Be aware of your bags and leaving your cell phones lying on restaurant tables anywhere you go. This unfortunately is something that is preyed upon in Johannesburg.
When getting an Uber, don't stand on the corner of payments looking down at your phone and not aware of people walking past you or driving by.
