La Belle is a deli/ coffee shop/restaurant at The Alphen Boutique Hotel in Constantia, Cape Town.
An excellent breakfast was enjoyed indoors on a public holiday in June. The restaurant was fully booked inside as it was a cool winter day but patrons also sat outside on the verandah. The breakfast menu was comprehensive and well-priced. The four of us received our meals at the same time and the presentation was excellent and attention to detail appreciated, especially hot plates! The service was excellent and the waiters were friendly and obliging. Definitely worth a return visit for either coffee and cake, breakfast or lunch. Booking recommended especially at weekends.

If you are looking for some authentic thai food, then you need to head to Yindees. I've been there many time and never been disappointed, You have the option of sitting on cushions at a lower table or at normal seat tables but I prefer the normal seat tables. The food is well prepared and reasonably sized portions with a variety of options from duck to the the various curries.I recommend their well known Chocolate Banana Spring Rolls which will melt in your mouth if you prefer a nice sweet desert.

I've been there many time and never been disappointed, You have the option of sitting on cushions at a lower table or at normal seat tables but I prefer the normal seat tables. If you are interested in a hiking trail which is easy to navigate, then you are in luck. Constantia Nek trail is a hike from the top of Constantia Nek all the way up Table Mountain. The trail is generally wide most of the way but it is rather steep. The hike takes around 3-4 hours excluding stops. Near the top take a refreshing drink of water from the cool stream running underneath the small bridge. If the stream is not running there is a drinking fountain 15 minutes further. Be sure to look out for the Red Disas in season and on a clear day the scenic views are spectacular and great for photographs. When you reach the Woodhead and Hely Hutchinson Dams consider a picnic lunch or just relax.

Constantia Nek TrailIf you are interested in a hiking trail which is easy to navigate, then you are in luck. Constantia Nek trail is a hike from the top of Constantia Nek all the way up Table Mountain. The trail is generally wide most of the way but it is rather steep. The hike takes around 3-4 hours excluding stops. Near the top take a refreshing drink of water from the cool stream running underneath the small bridge. If the stream is not running there is a drinking fountain 15 minutes further. Be sure to look out for the Red Disas in season and on a clear day the scenic views are spectacular and great for photographs. When you reach the Woodhead and Hely Hutchinson Dams consider a picnic lunch or just relax.

This is a short hike which is only about 2 hours long but it is rather steep. It is very accessible as it is 5min drive from the city and has the most stunning views from the top. There are 2 trails to take. Once you get near to the top, there is an option to use the chains to pull yourself up which is very safe and there many handles to secure yourself. Alternatively if you are not feeling that adventurous or strong, then you can continue to walk further on from the chains which takes a longer but less steep route up to the top.
