The state park is known for the dramatic views of the surrounding area that can be seen from stone overlooks built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The 42-acre man-made freshwater lake and white sandy BEACH draw many visitors who enjoy swimming, canoeing, boating and fishing. Almost eleven miles of HIKING trails meander through a variety of wildlife habitats and rock outcrops show much of the earth's geologic history. Greenbrier State Park offers an accessible visitors' center, picnic areas, and some campsites. A beach wheelchair is also available. The boat ramp will be open to all vessels once water depth rises.
