Lovely walk winding along the water of leith from the sea winding along throughout the town and opening up into a forest around the colinton area for the more adventurous.
For a shorter walk join at north junction street about 20 minutes from the house, go east towards the shore or west towards the weir.

Great little historic pub where Bonny Prince Charles once stayed 100s of years ago. The queen has been known to stop by.

Lovely pub by the shore. Great for Sunday lunches ( recommend you call to pre book), brunch or an afternoon tea drinking cocktails from the infamous teapots whilst wearing funny hats.

A favourite spot for the odd Royalty and perfect for a Sunday lunch - perfect after a nice stroll across the valleys of Arthur’s seat ( St Hunters big) 9 mins drive or 50 mins walk. alternatively you could catch a bus to Queen’s Park for a shorter walk. Duddingston lock is a delight to visit afterwards or the community gardens.

A volcanic mountain fully of mini lochs in the middle of the city - only 20 min walk from the house.
Can choose path suitable for fitness level or even get a taxi up the winding road to the top. ( mountain road is closed to traffic at weekends to give more room to walkers and cyclists)
