In close proximity to St. Stephen's cathedral and one of my favourite traditional Viennese coffee houses with a twist thanks to excentric and artsy owner, Susanne Widl. Try their applestrudle, best in town - apart from my grandmas ;-) They also offer lunch-menu with a veg option every day.

Unassuming, yet brilliant, Pizzeria Pozzuoli is the parlour you wish was your local pizzeria. Nestled close to Rennweg train station in the 3rd district, this charming little restaurant, with its charming Italian jukebox and red chequered tablecloths, seems to be as authentic a little local pizzeria as they come. Pozzuoli has quietly been ramping up its reputation for years through pure word of mouth. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but they have pizza to blow your socks off. They also do a takeaway service. Source: www.viennawurstelstand.com

just around the corner of my apartment, no entrace fee and simply nice to spend some chill time in the middle of the city. Perfect before or after a visit to the Belvedere museum and/or palace.
