This is possibly the busiest safeway per capita in the universe. Pick the timing of your shopping. Right after skiing (4-6), this place is a zoo. It is 24 hours, so early am or later in the night is sometimes better.
I generally do some shopping on the way up if at all possible.

11290 Donner Pass RdThis is possibly the busiest safeway per capita in the universe. Pick the timing of your shopping. Right after skiing (4-6), this place is a zoo. It is 24 hours, so early am or later in the night is sometimes better.
I generally do some shopping on the way up if at all possible.

Parks & Nature
You can access the park for free if you park on the right hand side (lake side) just before the park entrance. Beautiful trails and views are here. There is a great visitor center as well that explains the history of Donner Pass.

Entertainment & Activities
We love sugarbowl for skiing. It is less than 10 minutes and very family friendly. There is great terrain and they usually get lots of snow.
