I am not a vegetarian but they are and I am completely obsessed with this place. Everything they do is fresh. On Monday they are the only place I know in Bangor that has macaroons! I always get a half salad, half sandwich and an ice tea. It might take some more than other places because they care and everything is made to order. Also, during the winter they had a pay-it-forward wall where if someone could not pay for their meal, someone who had previously donated would be applied to their order! :)

This place and The Grind House are my two favorite coffee establishments. Coffee Express has been around longer and only serves a large variation of coffee drinks. Also, they provide Gosselin’s Bakery donuts depending on what available by donation. (Legally, a place so close to the road cannot serve food here is what I’m told). The owner is a sweetheart who wants to retire but understands the local love! I always get a large iced vanilla chai. *This is a drive-thru only!*

From Spring until Fall, this place is open to hikers, bikers and breezy walkers. In the winter, many snowshoe and cross-country ski the paths. The boardwalk is over a large bog that starts in Bangor and circle into Orono, which isn’t a far as it sounds but you can get lost so take a picture of the map at the base of the trail!
