Not only are their pastries delicious but their coffee is wonderful and all of their food is worth the visit! They have a great happy hour as well as certain nights of the week where they provide free tango lessons.

701 Angeles Crest HwyA quick 45-60 minute drive from the cottage (depending on the day and if you time it right 😉) you can see some beautiful LA forestry. Traverse the rock creek and end with a picnic at a quaint waterfall. Out to the fall and back is about a 6 mile hike.
You could easily spend a few days getting lost in the park! There are lots of trails, the observatory, the Hollywood sign, horseback riding, train ride for the little ones and plenty of picnic areas.
