Stunning castle and well worth the trip. If you don’t have a car a train from Aberdeen to Stonehaven followed by a beautiful countryside walk (around 40 minutes) will take you to the castle. It costs around £8 per adult to enter the castle. If you make this trip be sure to have local fish and chips or ice cream from the famous The Bay Chippie or Aunty Bettys!
