Hin Lad is TOTALLY different. There is no admission fee, no elephants and it’s much quieter
The trek is pretty challenging through the jungle, on an undulating track with rocks and trees in the way for a lot of it. I would suggest strong trainers with good grip. After 1.5km you’ll reach the first waterfall - if you carry on past this, the second is all the more spectacular.
Highly recommended if you want a fairly short but moderately difficult hike. Probably not ideal for families with small children and those wearing flip flops!

Nathon is a jumped point for boats to the islands of Koh Tao and Koh Phangan and the mainland Surat Thani. Nathon also has a rather long pier where boats arrives from mainland.
The waterfront village offers souvenirs and clothing shops, bakeries, bookshops, internet cafes, supermarkets, department stores, a bank and a post office. Restaurants offer plenty of seafood and serve local cuisine in front of the pier yard.

Sunset is beautiful here!
Nathon is a jumped point for boats to the islands of Koh Tao and Koh Phangan and the mainland Surat Thani. Nathon also has a rather long pier where boats arrives from mainland.
The waterfront village offers souvenirs and clothing shops, bakeries, bookshops, internet cafes, supermarkets, department stores, a bank and a post office. Restaurants offer plenty of seafood and serve local cuisine in front of the pier yard.
It was a very pleasant surprise. It is not commercial and a good balance of quiet and having eateries on the edge of the water.
It was perfect conditions for SUP and very easy to do so even in the dark as there are lights from the various venues along the beach. Early morning and sunset the water was calmer so perfect to do SUPyoga and paddle to dinner returning with the moonlight.
There is a sandy beach although in one or two places properties Have been built right up to the waters edge so now t easy to walk past them at high tide.
It is a sandy beach but relatively quiet and very clean

Lipa Noi beach
