It was inaugurated in 1891 and its main purpose has always been to facilitate and promote local culture, music and theatre. It still preserves this aspect but nowadays the lower part is a bar-cafeteria-restaurant. La Concordia conserves the style of a traditional Spanish bar from the 1950's and has a very nice terrace where you can enjoy a wonderful Spanish breakfast a traditional lunch at mid-day (very limited menu) or a drink in the evening. You will find La Concordia in the middle of the village of Cabrils, opposite the main parking lot, which makes it easy to get there by car - or even walking down from the apartment

Not your typical jazz club, Craft Barcelona is first and foremost a tapas bar with a fine selection of craft beers. However, at weekends Craft Barcelona hosts live music sessions with local artists. What’s more, on Monday nights there’s an acoustic blues music jam session, while on Thursdays there’s a more general jam session open to all musical styles. In short, this is a great option for someone looking to listen to some live music but in more of a laid-back bar atmosphere rather than a full-blown music venue.
Marula Café
Don’t be fooled by the name, Marula Café is not the kind of place where you’ll get a hot drink. Opening at 11pm most nights, this mid-size venue is halfway between a nightclub and a late-night bar with great live music. The program of gigs is one of the most diverse in Barcelona, with indie music, Latin, funk and hip-hop performances throughout the week and weekend. If you’re a fan of experimental jazz, Latin jazz or funk jazz, then the Marula Café is certainly worth a visit, and even the jam nights are guaranteed good listening.
El Paraigua
‘Cocktails, tapas & live music’ is how El Paraigua describes its offering, and indeed that’s just what you can expect from this venue. El Paraigua stands out for its cool décor: on the ground floor you’ll find a retro-style café with marble-top tables and old-fashioned cash register. Step down into the basement and you’ll be greeted by the stone walls and vaulted ceilings of the cocktail bar, which is also where the live music takes place. While not exclusively a jazz bar, there’s a strong preference for anything jazz, blues, Latin, funk and soul.

Probably the best and most interesting excursion in the area near your apartment. It's a 45 minute walk from the apartment or 30 minutes if you take the car to the bottom of the Burriac mountain. There are restored ruins of an old castele/fortification on top of the mountain and spectaculat views of the coast with Barcelona in the horizon. It's a 45 minute walk from the apartment or 30 minutes if you take the car to the bottom of the Burriac mountain. There are restored ruins of an old castele/fortification on top of the mountain and spectaculat views of the coast with Barcelona in the horizon. The Costal Range Park (part of the Catalan Coastal Range mountains): Your apartment is sorrounded on three sides by this beautiful and well conserved national park with magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea. There are lovely hiking routes and you can also drive on many of the forrest roads in your car. Highly recommended if you love nature and walking/hiking.

With over 50km of coastline, the Maresme offers many excellent beaches to choose from, from nudist beaches and secluded, rocky coves to open, sandy beaches with water sports and children’s play areas. Each has its own atmosphere and unique features but all of them have certain things in common – beautiful green hills as a backdrop, the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean and the famous “chiringuito” beach bars where you can eat, drink and dance with your toes still in the sand! The nearest beach at Cabrera de Mar is actually one of our favourits for various reasons
