Entry fee is 18,50 pounds per person. Avoid queues by purchasing your tickets online via the Edinburgh Castle website.

Very nice area with lots of traditional pubs, very close to the flat. There is also a Market every Saturday from 10 pm to 5 pm. Food and handmade souvenirs can be found here. It is worth a visit.

Free amazing museum built in 1999 to commemorate the best and worst of human history . It is just 5 min from the flat.
Opening times: 10pm -5pm

If you want to taste great Haggis, this is one of my favorite places, very close to the flat. They also have very nice pies, sausages, burgers and scottish desserts (ask for Cranachan, the traditional scottish desert).
