There is a small beer brewery in Svetvinčenat called 'Kampanjola' where beer is made from ecologically produced ingredients. They offer weekend event during summer, 'Lito sprid birane' held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, perfect to enjoy very family atmosphere, try their 4 types of beer (Bionda is our top choice) and freshly prepared burgers and wraps, with their home-grown veggies and meat. They also own small ecological agriculture and a few cows, so we recommend you to try their cheese, ricotta and meat.

Konoba Jure is another place we would truly recomend. It's located on a 10-15 min walk from Apartments Sandra but there is also a parking for your car. Jure offers only fresh and local food, freshly prepared with love and tradition. They also offer local wines which are must try. If there is not enough fresh food to procure that day, Jure closes its door, so phone reservation is recomended.
Restaurant Scuba in the city center on the entrance in the old part of the town is a must. Serving only seasonal food and fresh fish from that morning make this restaurant stand as a top choice when in Rovinj. You wait some time to get the food but this is only because every meal is freshly prepared, but no worry owners are very friendly and polite to amuse you while waiting for the food to come. Table reservation is obligatory because there is no free table from the moment they open until they close. Few meters from Scuba you can watch the most beautiful sunset and take marvelous pics of the old town.
Restaurant Orca offers you homemade food, fish, meat or pasta. Fish is freshly caught, made and prepared for your dinner. Just for you to know, you will need a car to come to Orca because is on the entrance in Rovinj, near the red-tree roundabout.
There are lots of restaurants in Rovinj, but these are the ones who work even in winter time (except Scuba). We recommend making a reservation in every restaurant in Rovinj during a summertime.
Held few times a month, 'Summer atmosphere with music and local traditions' offers you to try local fish (srdela), some white wine to companion srdela, Istrian music and to see how old Batana boats are being repaired. Also, tables are set on the boat dock where you can watch the Sun going down and have the old town on your hand. This event is held on Riviera square, near the boat dock and few steps from restaurant Scuba.

The medieval town Svetvinčenat, locally called Savičenta, located 24 km from Rovinj and 5 km from Krmed, is one of Istrian jewels in which the tourist offer has taken on a new life over last several years, especially through various events which are held in exceptionally attractive historical locations of this little town.

Svetvinčenat

All four season have their own advantages, but to have a proper relaxing vacation, spring and autumn are the best choice. In spring everything blooms, park-wood Golden cape (Zlatni rt/ Punta corrente) enchanting smell will take you over. In autumn, September - October, Rovinj is not crowded anymore, nature is getting its stunning colors, reddish and yellowish trees, leaves falling on lovely autumn breeze. Perfect for all kind of travellers to relax and explore Rovinj and its surrounding. Bicycles are excellent choice because there are many bike routes around Rovinj, town is not crowded with tourists and the weather is nice but not summer hot.

Have no fear because everything in Rovinj is a ten minute walk from the main square of from the main church of St. Euphemia. The downtown streets are teeming with restaurants, galleries, shops and cafes where you can have lunch, a drink, a snack or buy souvenirs, paintings, handmade bags and other products.
In the afternoon we recommend you to take a boat tour around Rovinj's archipelago and take the Dolphin tour and watch the beautiful sunset.
Don't forget to visit The House of Batana, a dynamic project that offers, besides a permanent exhibition of batanas and fishing tools, various events that ensure a unique experience of combining tradition and contemporary life, past and present, and the story about an ancient wooden vessel that still remains a part of Rovinj's everyday life.
