In 1995 Saskia Havekes opened a small flower shop, Grandiflora, in Sydney’s Pott’s Point. Today, while the shop still flourishes its founder has an International reputation, not only as a florist but as an author and now a creator of fragrances. Grandiflora is still located in the small store that launched her name. And whatever the destiny of her fragrances – already attracting international regard Saskia can still be found handpicking her flowers before dawn at the Sydney flower markets.

Restaurants & Bookings

When it comes to dining out in Potts Point I recommend to make bookings with all the local restaurants as they are extremely popular and frequently booked out. Especially if you have a favourite or know a hot new place you are dying to visit. If you decide to wing it then I would recommend arriving really early 5.30pm / 6pm to secure a spot on the night of your choice. Alternatively most venues have a waiting list which is usually about 45 min wait during the dinner rush from 6.30 through to 9.30. Hope this helps!
