Our favorite picnic and river swimming area. They have picnic tables with grills along with bathroom facilities (port-a-potty).
If you drive past this area, there is a Pavillion that you can rent by the day or half day. For the day, it’s only $25 which is very reasonable. It is beside a tiny creek and has two grills and an Amazing wood burning fireplace (bring your own wood). Go to the recreation.gov website to book this online. Please note that there is no city water at these picnic areas.
