Built in 959, this ancient shrine has a long history. From medieval times through the Edo Period this shrine was the center of the Inari faith and was called “Kashima Inari.”
This shrine was erected in the Tensho Period (1573 - 1592). Beginning for the veneration of the bodhisattva Hachiman, it became a popular shrine for warriors. In 1909.
