Užupis is a district in the Old Town, divided from the main "continent" by the river Vilnelė. It declared Independence from the rest of Lithuania 21 year ago, on April 1-st, which is its' National Day, celebrated merrily and widely. Užupis has many good cafes, restaurants, funny shops, art centre, academy of arts.

You can seat outside in a good weather, under umbrellas, and this is one of a few pizzerias where they make pizzas in an oven, heated with logs. I personally prefer pasta which is wonderful here, and they are good in making gnocchi
