This mild rafting trip down the Bow River is a great couple hour activity that takes you through the majestic Rockies with a raft guide to give you some history as well.

One of the largest inner city natural parks in the world is located in Calgary. This park offers 100's of km's of walking/biking paths and nature inside the city. You can visit the ice caves in the winter or grab an ice cream at Annie's in the summer.

Much like Banff, the lesser known Canmore is just a pretty, offering much of the same attractions as Banff. Each a beautiful in their own way however, Canmore is about 30 minutes closer. If you're pressed for time but still want to experience a beautiful town in the Rockies, this is also a must see.
