Pubs
I'm lucky to have several good pubs nearby. The closest, my local, is the Punchbowl and Ladle at Penelewey. Thatched pub with lots of nooks and crannies. Good pub food and St Austell ales. Other pubs within easy distance are the Royal Oak at Perranwell and the Old Quay Inn at Devoran, both with good pub food and atmosphere.
Lots of nooks and crannies, cosy and good pub food. There's a separate restaurant but it's probably nicer to eat in the pub. Open all day.

Best one in this category IMO...
This is the best Indian restaurant in Truro, and with a 20% discount for takeaway! The curries are freshly cooked and individually spiced (rather than tasting as if they were all made from the same basic sauce)! Ring ahead and then pop in to collect.
