Restaurants and cafes in Wemeldinge
There are a lot of good restaurants walking distance from the house, there is a great variety, from a chip shop to a couple of very decent eateries.

The one place you cannot miss is Eeterij Juno, which is located in the cluster of buildings in the middle of the marina, beside the harbour master’s office. You drive by Juno to get from the house to the village. It is a great place with a nice terrace, prices are mid-range and it is popular with the sailing crowd and passing visitors. It is child friendly too.

30b SluisplateauThe one place you cannot miss is Eeterij Juno, which is located in the cluster of buildings in the middle of the marina, beside the harbour master’s office. You drive by Juno to get from the house to the village. It is a great place with a nice terrace, prices are mid-range and it is popular with the sailing crowd and passing visitors. It is child friendly too.
Very close to Juno, heading (in the opposite direction from the village) towards the walk bridge crossing of the eastern lock (sluis) is Restaurant Bom Dia. It is a bit more upmarket, with a more sophisticated menu and wine list, it has a good reputation. It is slightly less child friendly (but it has high chairs and the staff is okay with kids), and it has a lovely terrace.

When you pass Eeterij Juno and Bom Dia (heading away from the village) and cross the eastern lock using the footbridge - cars have to drive around the lock, but it is easy to get there- you see Camping Linda right in front of you. The campsite has a chip shop and in the summer it also has a small shop that sells bread and a few basics.
The campsite also rents bikes.

If you take the ‘on demand’ footbridge that can be found at the back of the house (you have to cut through the houses behind us – there are several walk ways to do so), you can take the stairs down to village level and you immediately find a cluster of eateries at the top of Wilhelminastraat: Iets Anders is lovely cafeteria, with good food, locally produced beer and there is a chip shop beside it which does the best chips in the village. Iets Anders has a few more options on the menu than the chip shop, including mosselen. It is very informal and reasonably priced and child friendly.

At the little beach to the west of the house is a new restaurant called Club Casco. Again a nice mid-range place, child friendly and it is getting good reviews. The local cycling club meets here every Sunday morning at 9am.

It is one of the few places open on Sunday morning. They sell fantastic bread, croissants and cakes, to eat there or to take away. Do try the local ‘bolussen’.
Do note that this place closes at 2pm and by then they have usually run out of bread.

On the Noordelijke Achterweg is Hotel Wemeldinge. It has a nice outdoor terrace. It is also the starting point for some of the cultural tours that are organised in the area, such as one that visits the WWII war grave site in nearby Kapelle.
