Lots of information about how it was built and the history of soviet intervention trying to stop the people getting information from outside. The views from the top are exceptional and if you feel brave try a walk round outside roped to a rail. Best on a clear day to get the full benefit of the view.

Nothing says power like the impressive, Gothic Town Hall that dominates medieval Tallinn's main square. It was built in 1402-1404 as a meeting place for the ruling burgomeisters and has been a showpiece of the city ever since. Nowadays the Town Hall – the only intact Gothic town hall in Northern Europe – is used mainly for concerts or for entertaining visiting kings or presidents.

Kohtuotsa offers sweeping panoramas of Old Town's rooftops and towers against the backdrop of the modern city skyline. The spacious area on the east corner of Toompea hill offers unforgettable views of the medieval neighbourhood and is easily the city's most famous photo spot. From here you can see most of Tallinn's centuries-old spires as well as its newer ones, the highest of which is the TV Tower visible in the distance. Beyond the modern city centre lies the Lasnamäe suburb with its countless Soviet-style block apartment buildings.

By far the nation's largest and most cutting-edge art museum, Kumu displays Estonian-created works from the 18th-21st centuries. A must-see for culture creatures, Kumu, the main building of Art Museum of Estonia, serves both as Estonia's national gallery and as a centre for contemporary art.

The unforgettable Seaplane Harbour is home to a super-modern maritime and military museum, complete with historic ships to tour. Located in Tallinn's famed, wooden-house district of Kalamaja, the harbour is best known for its architecturally unique Seaplane Hangars. Built a century ago, in 1916 and 1917, as a part of Peter the Great sea fortress, these hangars are the world’s first reinforced concrete shell structures of such a great size. Charles Lindbergh, the man who performed the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean, landed here in the 1930s.
