Fish sticks, for example — the platter of light, fluffy tempura-fried cod, accompanied by a slightly sweet tartar sauce, are a fun and tasty way to start the meal. Creole strudel is another atypical but thoroughly delightful offering. We like to think of these flaky egg roll-like treats, with its filling of Andouille sausage, shrimp and crawfish, as a sort of handheld jambalaya. You can even get a trio of Hoffman’s Hots frankfurters as an appetizer, sliced into disks with cubed cheese and mustard and BBQ dipping sauces.
