Crank and Boom has ice cream to die for--add your favorite spirit to your "sundae." Goodfellas Pizza is my favorite in Lex. "Middle Fork Kitchen Bar (mfkb), offers a comfortably bold take on the traditional dining experience. Inspired by the dynamics of the season, the context of the district, and the enthusiasm of his team, jensen combines ingredients, cuisines, and a appreciation for the craft for a fun and delicious result." It is expensive but worth it. The area is gritty and hip and cutting edge.

The Confederacy was in the Hunt Morgan House, and the Union was in the Bodley Bullock House. Hunt Morgan is open for tours. Bodley Bullock rents out for events. Both have lovely gardens.

We have a great Farmer's Market on Cheapside, which is next to the Old Courthouse which is being renovated for restaurants, bars and shops. It will be open soon. Cheapside has a sordid history. It was the old slave market. The statue of John Breckinridge and John Hunt Morgan were recently removed, and a memorial to the slaves stands there. The statues were placed in the Confederate cemetery at the Lexington Cemetery.
