A great pit stop on the way to Volcano. Decent little park with an old wharf, wiped out by a tsunami in 1946. Before you arrive to the park driving south there is a very great photo op at a little pull over spot looking over the park. Don't miss it!

You can't hike into the main caldera of Kilauea, but you can hike down into Kilauea Iki. The entire loop is 4 miles but you just hike down and back. Very cool hike inside the crater with steam vents!
