Shaver Lake Pizza: Some say this is the best Pizza in California, so a must have to visit. You can also get their lunch special before 2:00 and save a few bucks. They feature calzones, pizza bread, salads, wings, cold beer and even have an arcade for the kids to play while waiting for your pizza. BEWARE!~ During the weekends wait times can exceed over 2 hours, so plan ahead! Seating is limited, so in the case you need a place to sit walk across the street to Mama Bears Gifts! They have a picnic bench for guests, just make sure to throw your trash away!

Also has the CHEAPEST GAS BEFORE SHAVER LAKE – so top off your boat and cars there. And not to forget, they have delicious $12 large gourmet u-bake pizzas and a wide selection of sandwiches.

They don’t over complicate it. They know what they do well and keep it to that! I can vouch for a juicy tri tip sandwich, tasty cheese burger, and a yummy chicken sandwich. I’ve been told by a few locals they make the most delicious Strawberry milkshake west of the Mississippi. Complete remodel, new staff, new owners, new equipment, and a refreshed menu, you must go by and get yourself a milkshake…like right now.

Their menu is simple and to the point. They don’t over complicate it. They know what they do well and keep it to that! I can vouch for a juicy tri tip sandwich, tasty cheese burger, and a yummy chicken sandwich. I’ve been told by a few locals they make the most delicious Strawberry milkshake west of the Mississippi. Complete remodel, new staff, new owners, new equipment, and a refreshed menu, you must go by and get yourself a milkshake…like right now.

Just about 35 minutes away is the beautiful Huntington Lake. Notorious for its perfect consistent wind and long length, this is the best sailing in the mountains of California. Mid summer, Huntington hosts a very cool event called the High Sierra Regatta which is a sailing race from one end of the lake to another.

Notorious for its perfect consistent wind and long length, this is the best sailing in the mountains of California. Mid summer, Huntington hosts a very cool event called the High Sierra Regatta which is a sailing race from one end of the lake to another.

Mono Hot Springs – A beautiful scenic drive about 1.5 hours outside of Shaver Lake. Go and dip into the natural hot springs, or play in the river. GREAT FISHING! And don’t worry too much about forgetting something, during the summer months there is a general store, restaurant (with Bison Burgers) and cabins you can stay at over night. On your way back to Shaver I would recommend checking out White Bark Vista to see great views of the Edison Wilderness and take some wicked selfies. If you are looking for a little more of an adventure – take a hike to DORIS LAKE! Its approx. 1.5 miles hike from the Mono Hot Springs Resort to a beautiful high sierra lake.
