My favorite restaurant, Pottery House Cafe is located here as well as the Old Mill Restaurant (if you have a large appetite for country cookin'!) Pigeon Forge Greenway / River Walk starts here at Patriot Park, goes thru a residential neighborhood and winds along the river to the Island & now extends to the Pigeon Forge Community Center area. Its a great place to walk, walk the dog, let the kids get some exercise & view occasional wildlife such as ducks and geese in the river.

Stop and visit the original cabins inhabited by the settlers to the area, the historic churches and graveyards. Visitor center, picnic area and campground are located off the 11 mile loop. Don't forget to stop at the camp store & get a delicious soft service ice cream cone!

This a is a great place to get out & walk on level land! My favorite part along the greenway is the river walk along the greenway because you look down the river towards Mt LeConte! You can park off Hardin Lane & start your adventure there. It’s also an easy place to fish & to launch kayaks... you can float down to the public boar launch under the bridge just past Smoky Mtn Knifeworks.. just remember you need 2 vehicles.. one to leave at the launch & one to park where you will exit!

What to Pack
Depending upon what you will be doing in the area, here’s a few suggestions anytime of the year: comfortable shoes, a jacket (especially in summer IF you plan to go into the higher elevations of the mountains), sunscreen, a positive attitude! Traffic can be heavy on holidays so bring your patience and enjoy all the area has to offer! Message me for suggestions on out of the way things to do if you don’t like the large crowds!
