Excellent coffee, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, side dishes, and main meals. I only ever go for breakfast, but they also have a mini market for some specialty ice cream, dairy, beverages, chocolate, coffee and other items.

Parks & Nature
There are many excellent hiking trails within a couple hours of DC, but if you are looking for something really breathtaking and closer in, Great Falls is the spot for you. You can drive right up to the falls, or pick a trail and hike a couple miles to get the full experience of walking up to the observation platform and taking in the majesty. If you're lucky, there will be kayakers attempting this Class V+ (Extreme) section of the river.

This is my favorite store in DC! It is a hat shop, yes, but there is also a lovely selection of housewares, jewelry, clothing, books, and other trinkets you won't find elsewhere.
