Old Town's cobblestone streets and red brick sidewalks attract everyone...but parking is a huge and often expensive problem! Stay at our tranquil B&B, park for free and take the safe and speedy public transport to Old Town.

About 90% of the fort's earthwork walls are preserved and the Northwest Bastion has been restored and reconstructed to its original condition.

Run, cycle or skate the 45-mile route along the former roadbed of the Washington & Old Dominion Railroad, which runs through the urban heartland and into the Virginia countryside. Equestrians can ride the adjacent 32-mile gravel horse trail. The W&OD trail has multiple parking areas, enabling you to jump on and off the trail at various points.
