Food Scene
They treat us like family and make good sushi. Also serve Chinese entrees for those who are not into raw fish! It's a 5 minute walk from our house. Good sake selection.

Great coffee, excellent lunch food (sandwiches and soup) in a charming cafe. Sadly they are not open on weekends but if you're here on weekdays you can hang with the locals at PacGrind!

This was our first favorite Mexican place in town. Now it's either La Roca or Enrique's (in Taft), both serving authentic food in normal-sized portions. Fast service and very tasty.

Parks & Nature
A great bayfront beach that connects to the oceanfront beach. The classic family place to spend a whole day, since it tends to be sheltered from the north wind in summer and the bay is safer water to wade in. Good crabbing, clamming and fishing from the beach makes for excellent people watching, and this is also where the big fireworks display happens on July 4. And if you get hungry, the famous Mo's clam chowder is handy.

This is our closest beach access. Just head west on E. Devils Lake Rd, cross the highway and keep going west on 12th until you make it to the beach. A steep downhill road but it's a great spot. You might see surfers heading out to the famous Nelscott Reef. There's a public bathroom with outside shower to wash off the sand when you're done playing!

Arts & Culture
It's our "town square" where the farmer's market happens on Sundays, constant live music events and art gallery openings, and visitor center are located. There are artists who make their work in the building, and a yoga studio if you need a tune-up. Go here first to find out where to go next!

Go here to watch our iconic glass floats get made! That part is free and entertaining... or pay some $ to make your own with expert help. Very fun and there's a wonderful glass gallery.

Drinks & Nightlife
Not really a brewery but instead a place to try a zillion different beers, ciders, kombucha, and a few wines. Hip vibe, no food served but you can bring your own or order delivery! They often have live music on Fri/Sat and there are board games. It's where all the under-40 locals hang out.
