Grand Cru Wine Bar & Boutique
1257 W Magnolia Ave
1257 W. Magnolia Ave (5min walk) Unpretentious local spot for both experts and newbies. Pretty good beer selection and small plates. Tip: we slightly prefer Grand Cru to Kent and Co. Kent is the “hipper”—and pricier—spot. Tue-Thu: 2-10p | Fri-Sat: 2-11p | Sun: 3-8p | Mon: Closed
200 E Broadway Ave (7min drive) A fun place for some funky brews you won’t find anywhere else. Board games. Good outdoor seating. As usual, no food for sale, but there are plenty of places right around for food you can bring in. Our faves: Coco Anejo, Zombie Crack, Feisty Blonde Mon: Closed | Sun-Fri: 12-11p | Sat: 12p-12a

1309 Calhoun St (10min drive) Award winning gin distillery that also makes their own whiskeys, vodkas, rum, and liqueurs. Great place to get educated on the distilling process, learn some local history, and enjoy a flavorful variety of liquors. Our faves: their gin old fashioned, and Miss Addie’s, their blackberry sage tea vodka! All their bottles are available for purchase in-house. (Make sure to do so before 9pm. State law.) Not an actual trailer park. A largely outdoor bar/music venue. Nothing to rave about, but if the weather’s nice and music’s decent, it’ll be time well spent.
