From the start there are also other longer hikes (green an blue arrow).
The botanical gardens (free entry) is next to the arrow and also definitely worth a visit

You need a car to get there - nice waterfalls and swimming holes.
If you like hiking I highly recommend the walk from here to Lake Morris (approx 1-1.5 hrs steep climb one way - bring plenty of water) - this will give you a really good introduction to the tropical environment of the region.
At my place, there is a book with maps which you can borrow which details this walk. There are also some other fantastic hikes in this book you could consider.

If you like hiking I highly recommend the walk from here to Lake Morris (approx 1-1.5 hrs steep climb one way - bring plenty of water) - this will give you a really good introduction to the tropical environment of the region.
