Downtown Austin
It is approximately 20 miles to get downtown Austin, or 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Austin is famous for its food and live music. A few popular food options are: Lamberts (barbeque); the Oasis (on the river); Chez Nous (French food), Home Slice (pizza).
For upcoming live music, austinchronicle.com/events/music is a great resource.
Other popular attractions include Zilker Park, Congress Bridge with its seasonal bat colony, Barton Springs Pool, 6th Street, and the Texas Capital.

The Airbnb is away from the crowds of downtown in a suburban neighborhood on the far north end of Austin providing a quiet get-away. Even though in a lot of ways it typical suburbia, there are still some great destinations nearby.
The Brushy Creek Regional Trail is over 10 miles long and is paved most of the way. There is a connector trail head just a couple blocks from the airbnb house (see the map). This is a great place to walk, jog, or mountain bike. It runs a long a creek, past a lake, and there are even some waterfalls off the trail. It also connects to several parks, playgrounds, and a couple splash pads. A system of technical mountain bike trails also connect to the trail system. Kayaks can be rented near the dam to use on the lake.
