Svanemøllen Beach opened in 2010. At 4,000 square metres, this triangle of fine, soft sand isn’t very big. But it has a 130-metre swimming jetty that stretches way out into the water, with a bench that runs its full length, affording visitors a beautiful view of the water and city, especially the impressive Svanemølle Power Station.

Hellerup Strandpark is a fine gem where you can experience tranquility and lushness in the beautifully landscaped perennial garden and rose garden. Up to the flower gardens there is a wide range of sporting activities, tennis courts and a well-visited tiny sandy beach, which is used intensively for sunbathing and staying in the summer months as well as Hellerup Marina, which with its beautiful surroundings invites to stay both on and by the water.

In Klampenborg, about 10 kilometers from downtown Copenhagen, is Bellevue Beach. The beach is very popular with locals during the summer months. The beach is five minutes' walk from both Klampenborg S-train station and Dyrehaven. The beach is 700 meters long and has both lifeguards and freshwater showers on the beach. The beach is just off the picturesque fishing village, Tårbæk, and right next to Strandvejen at the Arne Jacobsen-designed Bellevue Theatre.

The Deer Park ”Dyrehaven” - a short trip north from Copenhagen will take you to Dyrehaven, a wonderful woodland that seems far from city lights and traffic noise. Want to enjoy a peaceful walk in beautiful surroundings and fill your lungs with the fresh, Nordic air? Then Dyrehaven in North Sealand is just the right place for you. Dyrehaven, which literally means "the deer park", is a natural resort filled with lush forests, small lakes and wide, open landscapes. As the name might reveal, Dyrehaven is renowned for the more than 2000 free range deer that inhabit the park, and you'll surely come across a herd of grazing deer on your way through. All year, the park is well-visited by people that turn to its green hills for picnics, jogging, biking and horseback riding. You can even take a tour of the lands in a majestic horse carriage if you want. Besides from the beautiful landscape, Dyrehaven also has a significant history that dates back hundreds of years. In 2015, Dyrehaven was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the par force landscape that was once used for hunting by the Danish royalty. The park was made for hunting with hounds, which is why the roads are linked in star-shaped trail systems that made it easier for the hunters to keep track of the dogs. While you're strolling around the park, make sure to pass by The Hermitage, the King's stunning hunting lodge in the heart of the park.

Only 1 km from our house is the large nature area Utterslev Mose, which has been protected in 2000. The total area is 221 ha (including the Gyngemosen and Kirkemosen) - of which 97 ha water surface and islands. On the longest link, the area is just over 3 km long, and if you take a walk on the paths around the three lakes Vestmosen, Midtmosen and Østmosen and Højmosen in the northeast, then there is a total of approx. 9 km. There are many who enjoy nature out there by walking or cycling, and the trails are used extensively by exercise runners. There are lawns with football pitches. Some have special permission to fish from special places. There are two barbecue areas, and benches are found in many places in the area. In the winter there are toboggan runs, and some also get a cross-country ski tour around the area. You must not sail on the lakes or canals. The area is eg. known for its bird life, not least the geese. See also the description of nature.

Well sandwiched between dense buildings lies the idyllic Emdrup Lake, with paths almost all around. From ancient times, there are several attractive, mansion-like buildings between old and preserved trees that reflect in the water. At the western end there is a small park where you can relax on the benches, while the rest of the world rushes past out on Tuborgvej and Lyngbyvej. On the small island out in the lake keep the meadows (they sometimes breed in the trees!), The beautiful wizard tooth is common in all seasons and the greylag geese also have taken in the lake in great style.
