A unique outdoor yoga experience on the beautiful Princeville Makai Golf course that begins with a short walk to our practice space boasting some of the most exquisite views on the North Shore of Kauai. On a bluff nestled above Queen's bath overlooking Hideaway's beach, with the majestic ridges of the Hanalei & Haena mountains revealing their details in the shifting morning light, we practice a mellow yoga flow catered specifically to the group. This area is covered by the ocean half of the day- during high tide- and the pools are exposed at low tide, which creates a unique, yet fragile, habitat for lots of small invertebrates and fish! At our meeting spot, I will give you a brief talk on safety and tide pool rules, as all San Diego tide pools have a strict "no collection" policy. Once we understand how to tide pool safely and respectfully, the adventure begins! During our chocolate factory tour, you will learn in detail how we craft chocolate starting with cocoa beans and ending with wrapped and sealed chocolate bars. We'll discuss: 1. How cacao is grown and where it comes from. 2. How we clean and sort our cocoa beans before production. 3. How we roast, grind, and conche our chocolate to maximize flavor and aroma. 4. And how we temper, mold, and wrap our chocolate bars. We'll also get to examine raw cocoa beans, taste some chocolate in production, and sample a variety of finished chocolate bars with unique flavor characteristics.

We’ll introduce you to the process and materials that comprise fragrance creation. We'll spend about half the workshop smelling our way through a selection of over 45 raw ingredients, while discussing fragrance and blending techniques. You'll spend the remainder of the workshop developing and blending your own fragrance, with tips and pointers along the way. After this, you'll turn your fragrance into a 10mL oil-based roll-on personal fragrance. You’ll take home your very own scent creation compounded and mixed into a 10mL roll-on bottle of perfume. Other things to note: Avoid wearing strong fragrances to this workshop as it may disrupt yours' and others' olfactory experience.

We will begin at the red barn where you will learn about this 12 acre sanctuary and the stories behind the 100+ rescue farm animals living on it. From there we will explore three different pastures that include horses, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats and a goose. While you are here we are thrilled to guide you through an up-close experience with all of these amazing creatures while they roam freely. Many of these animals will walk right up to you to take a snack from your hand or allow you take a close-up photo with them! We'll start out at my house for espresso & homemade whole-grain toast that uses locally-grown and milled flour. Next we'll get to mixing and baking your own loaves. You will leave with a vigorous sourdough starter, plus a loaf of whole-grain, naturally-leavened bread. Not only that, but you'll have the knowledge to go home and start making your own bread regularly! While we wait for your bread to rise, we'll visit some of Portland's best bakeries. We meet at Makaleha mountain and hike to gather some water from the fresh water spring. We hike another 10minutes to harvest bamboo. I have been making bambooflutes for 20 years so I know exactly what we can use (age, size, color). Every person can pick their own to make an instrument. I explain what is important to know about cutting bamboo. I also explain all the native plants around us - which you can eat or use for healing. I do “La’au Lapaau” which is Hawaiian medicine. I survived 2 years out in the jungle with that knowledge - eating off the land. The hiking part is over and we drive back tomy house, where everybody is making their own noseflute or other instrument. They drill and burn the holes and I help them to find sound. For a snack we serve fresh Kalo (Taro), Sweet Potatoes (Ualaa), Avocados or coconut candy. Opening coconuts, Drumming and weaving optional, if we have some time left and if the guests are interested in doing that. Other things to note It's a short hike on a muddy trail. We also have to cross a river. The hike is not longer than 30min all in all and also kids can do it.

This unique three-part, 3 hours walking tour will begin where Manhattan began - at the National Museum of the American Indian. Each part of the tour will last approximately 1 hour. This first leg of the tour will start in Lower Manhattan. Specifically, Bowling Green, where the first enslaved Africans started building the infrastructure of the city, and end at Wall St. where the enslaved Africans were brought and sold. The second leg of the tour will start in the Financial District. We will walk up Wall St to Federal Hall - a site next to a famous free African who owned and operated a famous Oyster House in 1825. The last leg will start around the Brooklyn Bridge, including the African Burial Ground National Monument plaza. This tour is great for groups, team-building, and field trips, and it's especially beneficial for school-age children. Depending on the mood and convenience of the group, we can stop for snacks at any time. Each location is based on a specific chapter in my book. There will be several restroom breaks. Please note that finding parking is extremely difficult in Lower Manhattan. Indoor garages will cost between $35-40. I advise using public transportation or car service.

A day adventuring in beautiful Iao Valley. I will guide you into the historic Valley, exploring the beautiful lush forest and the clear Iao stream. We will hike past the guided paths and go safely wandering up the stream bed. Touching the local flora and fauna we will experience what it’s like to be deep in the valley with its steep cliffs and photographic vistas. Finding our way upstream we will end at a place where we can swim and enjoy the currents of the stream. Enjoy a snack and rest in the sounds of nature. Your blacksmithing adventure will include three hours of hands on instruction as you create your very own masterpiece. Your experience will start with a brief orientation to The Forge at Quiver Full Farm. During this orientation time we will make sure each participant is dressed and prepared with all necessary equipment to have a SAFE forging experience. We will be working with equipment that reach temperatures greater than 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. This experience requires participants to be attentive and be able to physically exert themselves. We will have all participants sign a safety liability waiver before starting. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate. Jeremy will introduce you to all of the equipment that you will be using while creating your forged piece. He will give detailed and guided instruction on how to use these tools. From there you will choose one of several projects to create. Jeremy will be there to guide you, assist you, and maintain a safe working environment while you create your masterpiece. Other things to note This experience is for adults and children over the age of 14. If you have sensitivities to smoke and heat this may not be the experience for you.

Multnomah Falls and other waterfalls and vistas of the Columbia Gorge are astonishing icons of geology, the sort that have inspired mythology and lore of warriors, gods and passions. We will drive out in our vans to meet the tallest waterfall in the state, and then drive to a few of the shorter but even more stunning ones, too; falls which could only be the daughters and sons of legend. In this half-day experience, we will explore wonders with some short hikes (totaling less than 2.5 miles/4 km) and visits to overlooks and vistas that will have you gasping in awe. While Multnomah Falls and its iconic Benson Bridge are together the most-visited tourist attraction in the Portland area, they are only a part of our experience. We will meet at our shop in inner SE Portland, where we'll ride in our comfortable Sprinter and Transit vans to the nearby gorge. Depending on weather conditions, we will visit a few small hidden waterfalls and spectacular plunge-style falls whose columnar basalt has us learning words for "amazing" in other languages. We'll also tell you stories, geology, botany and oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and wild spirits and about the oldest North American civilization, forever altered by “manifest destiny." Aloha! Welcome to "Under The Sea " A Hawaiian Reef Spearfishing Adventure. In this lesson you will learn the Art form of Hawaiian Reef - Three Prong Spearfishing. You will also learn how to identify Hawaiian Endemic Reef Fish, as well as Exhilarating Techniques to catch your dinner, and provide for your Ohana (Family). Meeting Location will be around Anini Beach. ( Specific Location Instructions will be sent to you after booking ) Once united we will promptly begin with a 30 minute safety & educational briefing. After that we will walk to our entry point and partake in a Naupaka Cleansing Ceremony. (A Hawaiian tradition passed down through generations.) Next we will start our 90 minute dive, and experience Hawaii’s Largest Barrier Reef. If we're LUCKY we will come home with exciting stories, unforgettable memories, and some dinner for the family.

We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest. There you will meet your hosts, the Corgis along with Jennifer or Katie. Drinks will be offered, as well as a discussion about safety while walking with the corgis . We will set off on our journey through the fields, and into BlissWood Forest. The easy half-mile hike is well maintained and goes at a leisurely pace. The loose Corgis will be scurrying about ahead as they sniff the ground and try to pick up the scent of pixie dust. Help the Corgis find the hidden treasure chests and secret swellings along the path. We pause a lot for selfies, kisses and cuddles from the animals. Then we loop down the trail and return to Corgi Bliss, where drinks and snacks are to be had before saying our goodbyes. We will be outdoors in the fresh air and forest, wear layered clothing and shoes that protect your feet from the elements. Enjoy the earthy smells and forest sounds, and the corgis. For safety, only our dogs can join us on this hike. Children under two years are FREE!

Come and spend a day at a farm and make art! We are a woman owned organic farm located near the Sandy River. We have converted a century old dairy barn into a ceramic studio. Let’s spend the day playing with clay and learning together. Here we have options based around your skill level and interests. I can lead you on the potters wheel or in hand building techniques. For an additional cost of $25 per person I will fire your projects in my kiln and you can choose a glaze color for your finished pieces. You can choose to pick up a couple weeks after your booking or pay to have your pieces shipped. Create a one of a kind dessert inspired candle. With over 150 design options, our candle-making class is unique because we create candles that look and smell like edible foods! Guests will be shown different varieties of wax toppings that we make in our facility and receive guidance in creating their design. Guests will be able to take home their candle creation and will have completed the class with unique candle making knowledge and experience. Photography and Videography of your experience can also be provided complimentary so that you can share your experience with family and friends at the end of your trip. Ages 10 and up
