“The National Art Center (国立新美術館 Kokuritsu Shin-Bijutsukan) (NACT) is a museum in Roppongi, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. A joint project of the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the National Museums Independent Administrative Institution, it stands on a site formerly occupied by a research facility of the University of Tokyo. The building has been designed by Kisho Kurokawa. It is one of the largest exhibition spaces in the country.[2] Access is from Nogizaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. Unlike Japan's other national art museums, NACT is an 'empty museum', without a collection, permanent display, and curators. Like Kunsthalle in German-speaking regions, it accommodates temporary exhibiti”

“Dating from the early Showa period in the 1920s, this Japanese building shows signs of influence from Western architecture. Inside, the spacious exhibition hall seems to stretch on endlessly, whetting one’s appetite for its treasures. The displays have a distinctive Showa flavor—a glimpse into an interesting era of Japan’s development. Right after opening or before closing, there are fewer people, so you can have a relaxing tour. At those times, it’s quiet enough to hear the wooden floor creak under your feet, which adds to the retro ambience.”

Opened to traffic in 1993, the bridge over the Port of Tokyo is called the Rainbow Bridge and looks like rainbow as the name suggests. The 1.7 kilometers promenade walk connecting Shibaura Wharf and Odaiba waterfront area can be walked on. It takes about half an hour to cross the whole bridge. The two routes, north route and south route, provide different sceneries, but the south route is recommended if you only plan to walk one way. The vision from the bridge is too beautiful to miss especially during the night illumination as the illumination color changes depending on events and even on days and hours for viewers to enjoy the outstanding time of the day.”

“Rikugien (六義園) is often considered Tokyo's most beautiful Japanese landscape garden alongside Koishikawa Korakuen. Built around 1700 for the 5th Tokugawa Shogun, Rikugien literally means "six poems garden" and reproduces in miniature 88 scenes from famous poems. The garden is a good example of an Edo Period strolling garden and features a large central pond surrounded by manmade hills and forested areas, all connected by a network of trails.”

“ The Origins of Kamakura’s Hasedera Temple According to the legend, in 721 AD the pious monk Tokudo Shonin discovered a large camphor tree in the mountain forests near the village of Hase in the Nara region. He realized the trunk of the tree was so large that it provided enough material for carving two statues of the eleven-headed Kannon. The statue he commissioned to be carved from the lower part of the truck was enshrined in Hasedera Temple near Nara; the statue from the upper half (actually the larger of the two) was thrown into the sea with a prayer that it would reappear to save the people. ”

城堡
“Odawara Castle (小田原城, Odawarajō) was originally built in the mid 15th century and soon fell into the hands of the Hojo Clan, one of the most powerful clans during the Warring States Era who used it as a base to control the region around modern day Tokyo. In 1590, Toyotomi Hideyoshi attacked the castle, and with the defeat of the Hojo Clan, reunited Japan. In 1703 the castle was destroyed by an earthquake but quickly rebuilt; yet in 1870, the castle keep and other buildings were dismantled and sold. The keep was rebuilt again in ferro-concrete in 1960 based on models and drawings from the Edo Period. Over the following years, the three major gates leading up to the castle were also restored. Today it is the closest castle keep to Tokyo. The castle keep is three stories on the outside and four stories on the inside. The interior features exhibits on the history of the castle as well as displays of items such as armor and swords. The top floor offers nice views of the park and surrounding city. Also located on the castle grounds is the Odawara Castle Historical Museum. It has further interactive displays on the history of the castle and Odawara to present day. Although there are some English translations, the interactive displays and movies are only in Japanese. The castle is also a famous spot for cherry blossoms (typically in bloom around late March to early April) and many other flowers, including plum blossoms, azalea, wisteria, iris, hydrangea and lotus blossoms. ”
