Beach
“Another amazing and soft white sand beach on this beautiful island! This is a great spot to go boogie boarding or body surfing or sun bathing...but be mindful...the waves can crash big here so if in doubt, don't go out. But enjoy the beach just the same! ”

“About 45 minutes away ! Located about 4 miles north of Hilo. This is a must see if your into Botanical Gardens! Located on the ocean complete with waterfalls and just sheer tropical beauty. Unusual tropical plants, flowers, trees and well laid out walk paths thru-out and along the ocean. They even have golf carts available for assistance in bringing people back out of the gardens. “Spooky and beautiful, MacKenzie State Park a 13-acre recreation area perched on the jagged lava sea cliffs along the Red Road. The signature feature of the park is the largest stand of ironwood trees in the Hawaiian islands and the main attraction is experiencing the raw power of the waves along the sea cliffs. There are restrooms and a covered picnic pavilion. Camping is not advised and rogue waves are extremely dangerous so please heed the numerous danger signs. Park entrance is free but entry into lava tubes or caves is prohibited.”
