公园
“What to say? One of the great parks of the United States. Just head down the hill to Kezar Stadium (at the very bottom of Willard Street) and you'll see the GGP right beyond it (walk around Kezar to the west to enter the park). You can also enter on Stanyan and Haight (and at many other points). Enjoy the Academy of Sciences, de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake, the Conservatory of Flowers (great night time light shows in the summer and winter) and many, many other features of the park.”

“When the weather is nice, you can barely see the grass due to the throngs of people lounging around. Luckily, the park was recently renovated and is big enough that you're bound to find a spot you like. The southwest corner is good for a panoramic view of the city skyline (and usually far enough away from the folks enjoying their herbal refreshments on the northern slope). There's also a nice kid's playground, although it's geared more towards older kids.”

“The park is between the Berkeley Hills and San Pablo Ridge. Its main entrance is near Kensington, Berkeley, and Richmond. The park is contiguous with Wildcat Canyon Regional Park. Tilden Regional Park was named in honor of Charles Lee Tilden, a Bay Area attorney and businessman who served on the first Board of Directors of the East Bay Regional Park District.”

“Lake Merritt in Oakland, California is one of the most unique urban spaces in the United States. Its three mile heart-shaped shoreline in the center of an exceptionally diverse city is the place for man and nature to migrate and mingle daily. This tidal lagoon is also home to the oldest designated wildlife refuge (1870) in the United States.”

历史景点
“Alcatraz was the site of the first lighthouse in the Western United States but became a federal penitentiary from 1934-1963, housing famous convicts such as Al Capone and George "Machine Gun" Kelly. Now, this once infamous prison island is part of the Bay Area’s 80,000-acre Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Located one-and-a-half miles from Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz is one of the city's most popular attractions. A visit to the island includes a tour of the cell house where visitors can see where the prisoners lived. Although the last inmates were transferred off the island in 1963, the main prison block with its steel bars, claustrophobic (9 x 5-foot) cells, mess hall, library and "dark holes," where recalcitrant languished in inky blackness, is still structurally intact.”

Theme Park
“Right down the road, you’ll find California’s Great America, the Bay Area’s only amusement park. Originally opened in 1976, Great America has been one of the top attractions for over 40 years. This park features some world-class roller coasters, and some of the most highly-rated rides in America. If you’re not much of a thrill seeker, the park also has a lot of family and kids rides. They regularly have shows and special events, and of course there’s fair food! ”

Zoo
“The Happy Hollow Park and Zoo is a small zoo and amusement park, it covers 16 acres and houses approximately 150 animals. Over the last few years the park underwent some major renovations before reopening its doors to an eager public. Despite its small size there is still a lot to do apart from looking at the animals. Visitors can enjoy a puppet show or go to the education center to learn more about the animals in the park. There is also a selection of amusement rides, including a roller coaster and carousel.”

“A very nice and beautiful hiking spot. The parking is plenty and there is a lot of shade during the hiking which allows you to start anytime. Halfway to the vista point there's a cute farm where you can see nice farm animals chilling and roaming around. There are even wild deers roaming around sometimes if you are lucky enough to catch them. Most hikes are pretty easy (about five miles) and offers a great view when you reach the top. You can also challenge yourself with PGE trail which is nine miles. ”

State / Provincial Park
“No trip to the Bay Area would be complete without visiting the redwood forests! For nature-lovers, this is an absolute must-see. It’s a bit of a drive to get to this park, but it’s totally worth it. This state park is home to over 40 acres of old-growth redwood trees, and it contains some of the tallest and oldest trees in the entire world. In the early 1900s, Teddy Roosevelt visited this area and helped spur an initiative to protect the trees. They are one of the most spectacular natural species in the entire United States and the Bay Area is one of the best places to see them. ”

Here you will find 740 acres of rugged beauty that many visitors each year get to enjoy. You can go jogging, hiking and cycling and then stop off somewhere secluded for a picnic.
