“TIP: go to the west side, it’s where the locals prefer. Much nicer than the painted ladies if you look closely at the architecture and flora. ”

It's known for it's wide range of food, ranging from high-end restaurants to authentic taquerias. Spend your time tasting coffee, exploring fancy cocktails, to enjoying all the colorful street art and murals in the area.”

“Bernal Heights is a residential neighborhood located in the southeastern area of San Francisco. It is 3 miles from downtown SF with easy access to both the 101 and 280 freeways. The Muni bus #67 runs through Bernal Heights offering direct access to the 24th and Mission BART (subway station). The neighborhood is hilly but extremely walk-able with many coffee shops , bars, restaurants, retail stores and a brewery on the neighborhood's main commercial street Cortland Avenue. The neighborhood circles towering Bernal Hill, a public park closed to automobiles with 360 degree vistas of all of San Francisco including downtown, the bay, and the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. (Up top near the transmission tower is a tree swing--a great photo opportunity to catch yourself flying over the downtown vista.) The park is a great place to jog or walk and is a favorite of dog walkers. At sunrise and sunset you may even see the 2 resident coyotes (please do not feed them).”

City Hall, a sprawling 1915 landmark with a gold-leafed dome, anchors a complex that includes the elegant War Memorial Opera House, the Asian Art Museum and a large plaza. Entertainment seekers choose from plays at historic theaters, and concerts at sleek spots such as Davis Symphony Hall and the SFJazz Center.”

“The marina area is beautiful as it is close to the beach area, the Marina, the bay , the Palace of Fine arts and it's flat with no hills. This makes it easy to walk around, strolls along the beach trails, the Marina filled with beautiful boats, into the presidio Park and shop on Chestnut street which is always buzzing with people. It has all you need form grocery store, supermarket, cleaners, boutiques, banks, various restaurants, bars, bookstore, pharmacy etc... Its also close to hospitals, urgent care. The muni bus system (especially #30) is great and inexpensive to go around the city.”

“Glen Park is centered by a commercial area near the intersection of Diamond and Bosworth Streets, Glen Park has about one of each thing that a neighborhood might ask for. From a walking standpoint, it is slightly more isolated than some of the central neighborhoods - hills and blocks of residences separate it from Noe Valley to the north and Bernal Heights to the east. Both Muni and BART pass directly through, bridging the gap. Glen Canyon Park is a 70-acre city park featuring a deep natural canyon with walking paths leading up into Diamond Heights, and recreational facilities at its southern entrance.
