Our price includes meals. We are forest dwellers, and our place is focused on contact with roots and deep nature, traditional healing of body, mind and soul. We work with indigenous shamans, offer sound healing, psychoterapeutic work and zen meditation. Our aim is to re-establish contact with elements and seek for deep, basic roots of shamanism present in all cultures. We bathe in stream, wash dishes in rain water and cook on fire.

This is rustic living, remember. The options of Airbnb don't seem to take into account that some places have no street address - we are in the middle of forest, that not everywhere beds are used to sleep - we offer clean mattresses and hammocks, but for hygiene reasons we ask guests to bring their own sheets ( it is hard to wash them here in forest, but we can buy you a set for additional 5 usd ). Be prepared for magical jungle experience but give up some of your attachments - to electricity, to hot water. The whole point for us is living simple and close with nature.

Beautiful forest, with streams and open fields in between, nearby a small village called Santa Rosa, place of pilgrimage on each 13th day of a month, where Virgin Mary is supposed to have appeared. There is a sacred waterfall and spring there, where pilgrims come to bathe and drink. 30 minutes walking distance along the river you will find market in a town called Nauta, the oldest in the region, where all kind of local fruits, vegetables and fish can be purchased, as well as other necessities. The town has swimming pool and river port from where fast boats to Yurimaguas leave. You can also do a trip to one of the best national parks in Peru, Pacaya Samiria, or other way, to see pink river dolphins where Maranon and Ucayali river give beginning to Amazon. We can help to arrange those trips directly with locals, avoiding tour companies.

Our home is located at the left bank in the Maranon River, at the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, about 140 km from Iquitos city, Our cabins are comfortable, private bathrooms, balcony. We include all meals, transportation from the airport.

There are birds, particularly the Wattled Curassow that was thought to be extinct at one time. A short walk behind the lodge takes us to a lake, where we find the largest fresh water fish on the planet - Arapaima gigas, the monstrous fruit eating fish Tambaqui, a close relative of the piranha, growing to a meter long (39 inches) and 30 kilograms (70 pounds), along with electric eels. Within our area we have jaguars, monkeys (squirrel, howler, capuchin, etc.), sloths, capybara, poisonous and nonpoisonous snakes, dolphins, caimans, piranha, insects, etc.
