Moda is a lively, artsy, and close-knit community that has taken an entirely new approach to the care of its street cats and dogs. Our focus has been to ‘adopt’ stray animals as a community- not as individuals- to tag and feed our four-legged friends, to provide medical help when needed, and of course to shower them with love and affection. Meet and greet with us at Ammoudi (Oia's port) at 07:50, Transfer by sea bus to Thirasia island which is only 10 minutes away from Santorini. After a short safety briefing about the e bikes and the island our tour begins. Through uphills and downhills we will cycle to deserted villages, cave houses, monasteries, ( some protected by Unesco ) Amazing Caldera views will escort us along our way. Located in her own private kitchen, in the heart of Oia, Areti, a 68 years old 'yiayia' (grandma) offers her expertise and teaches you to prepare and cook Greek and local Santorinian recipes. Having spent almost all her life on the island, and being a restaurant owner for 27 years, she knows all the secrets that make greek dishes delicious. Prepared with love and fresh and organic produce, Areti will guide you and teach you all the secrets of the famous greek delicacies. She offers a guided preparation of a 4 course meal (appetisers, salad, main and dessert), which you'll get to enjoy with a glass of wine. Recipes and menu options are tailored upon communication with the attendees. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free menus are available and recipes cheat sheets will be delivered at the end of the experience to you to take back home! BASILICA CISTERN, STORIES and SOME FOODS 1- Our interactive experience starts at HIPPODROME A nice and fun talks about background and present ancient monuments ( Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Column and Walled Obelisk). 2- Hidden gem visit (less known site) 3- Short walking to BLUE MOSQUE. It is an Ottoman architectural beauty with its indoor giant columns, stain glasses, Iznik tiles and beautiful classic dome patterns. 4- Next is another hidden gem visit. Have a break for tea and coffee (optional closed on Mondays). 5- Short walking to HAGIA SOPHIA. It is a structure between heaven and earth. ( Admission fee is excluded- Fast track 30 Euro per person )! (6)- Next is a kind of time traveling to underground, see BASILICA CISTERN ( Admission fee is excluded-600 TL PP! ) 7- Sample some STREET FOODS on our way to GRAND BAZAAR (optional). We will have an orientation walk together and give you some tips/recommendations for Grand Bazaar and rest of your trip. 8-Lots of tips and recommendations for the rest of your stay following our experience.
