I will be teaching you how to make 3 different types of pasta from scratch, how to incorporate a healthy twist into each one, show you how to make a delicious sauce using ingredients already in the pantry. We will also be eating 2 portions of pasta as well. It is byob and take home dessert is available for purchase. Other things to note Just bring yourself and remember to have fun!

Let's plan a Pot Party at Chrys's Porcelain! All guests will use clay during the party to create, build, and paint their hand-built pottery projects. Chrys will guide everyone in making whatever they like using basic hand-building techniques. As you know, this event doesn't include working on the potter's wheel; a minimum booking of two people is required for a pot party. It's essential to remember that Pot Parties are booked back to back. If you're late for your scheduled party, you'll have less than two hours to party and make. So, please arrive on time to ensure you have the full scheduled time to party and make.

At our Scent Experience parties, you can create your own handcrafted skincare products. You will explore our selection of essential oils and fragrances to create a custom scent all you own. You will then add your scent to our base product to create your own signature sugar scrub, body oil, or and/or bath tea soak. Dried flowers and color option are also available for the perfect handcrafted creation to use at home for weeks to come. We provide all the supplies - soy wax, candle vessels, 20+ fragrances to choose from, candle wick, jar labels, etc. We walk through them through entire process of making a candle. We meet you on our homestead in the deep, lush forests of Northern Michigan. After a short introduction we venture off with the goats, down the trail, deeper into the woods…as they browse and forage for food. I can add dates to this calendar, if you don't see a date or time that works for you, or your group, please reach out and we will make something work! As we walk there is plenty of time for Q and A and space for the joy of experiencing this pastoral pastime of days gone by. Time slows down as we venture with the goats on their quest to seek the finest of the available forest greenery.

You will be using a coal-fired forge, treadle hammer, tongs, cross peen hammer, and anvil, along with a 2"X72" belt grinder. We will be hand-forging a railroad spike into a beautiful and functional knife. We will start by firing the coal forge and drawing out the handle with the treadle hammer. We will twist the handle and start drawing out the blade. Once we have a handle and blade formed we will "quench" the blade to harden it. We will use the grinder to put an edge on your finished Railroad Spike Knife. We will visit our beautiful family of rescued cows. They’re a bit non-traditional for American pets, but they are definitely furry, and super cute. They just love attention. We will spend time petting, feeding, brushing, and hugging them, sometimes, cuddling with them. If you are lucky, then we will show you how to milk them too! Great For Groups and Team Building. When you book a session with the cows it will be about getting close to the natural world, slowing down, taking time to breathe, and experiencing something new & exciting! We’ll tell you about their personalities, their likes & dislikes, and funny things they like to do. Cows are sentient beings, they are individuals just like you, and it’s wonderful to get to know them. We will be there with you to create a safe environment for everyone involved. Saturdays are special. You get to dine with us and relish vegetarian meals. How to dress? -Make sure you wear shoes with closed toes (no flipflops or slippers) -Dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. The Cave Point & Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park E-Bike Tour involves an E-Bike cruise from Jacksonport to Cave Point County Park, along a beautiful tree covered and fun windy road great for photos. Check out DoorCountyBike dot com for way more tour availability and times. At cave point, we disembark and take a few photos along the coastline. During Summer; We explore the coves and path along the picturesque shoreline and there is a chance to cliff jump into the water. During Winter; we view the ice castles created by the breaking freezing waves.(weather dependent) From there we venture off into Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park and go on the bike trail. We will end back at Jacksonport. Your guide will provide an fun experience and to give many geological facts about the history of Cave Point throughout the tour. Later in the evening, we will move to one of the fully immersive, world-renowned late-night nightclubs like Soundbar, Tao or Spy bar. On any given night you will be treated to an up-close in personal experience with touring artists, Chicago's top DJ's, performers, and host. The Peninsula State Park Fat Tire E-Bike Tour involves an E-Bike cruise from Juddville(located very close to Fish Creek) to Peninsula State Park. Cruise along a beautiful tree covered shoreline road into the backside of Fish Creek and into Peninsula State Park to explore a variety of scenic overlooks, the tower, Eagle Bluff, Eagle Bluff Lighthouse and the sunset trail. Stop for photos and listen to an enjoyable narrative of the area. Weather can be unpredictable so be sure to dress in warm(spring/fall) or light(summer) layers and bring warm gloves/hat(winter) or a swimsuit/sunscreen/hat(summer).

One of the best ways to really acquaint yourself with the infamous city of Chicago is to do it from the streets, through a guided Chicago Gangster Tour or Ghost Tour, detailing the crimes, deals, and charisma that made the city what it is today. We offer a 2 for 1 deal, hosting historically-based guided tours of Chicago’s gangers AND ghost stories, right from the Chicago Loop Vice District. Other things to note Bring your camera!

You will learn the basics of forging iron with a coal-fired forge. You'll meet me at my shop, and with a hammer in hand you'll learn the basics of blacksmithing. You will square, taper, twist, bend, scroll, and flatten the metal into your unique wall hook. Other things to note This is a rustic hands-on work experience. Be prepared to get dirty! There are numerous dangers including smoke, fire, loud noises, sharp objects, etc. Experiences can be made available on different days and times by selecting "Show more dates" and then selecting "Request Availability."

You will build a full tang knife or blade from a high-carbon steel blank. You will use a 2"X72" variable speed belt grinder to establish a primary bevel.  Next, you will choose from a selection of handle materials (scales), ranging from exotic hardwoods to composite materials. micarta, You will shape and form your scales to fit your grip and liking. Next, you will finish your scales and prepare for assembly. You will create a high-quality, fully functional knife or blade that you will be proud of and use for years to come. upon entering Aroma Workshop in Chicago's Lincoln Park guests are given a card to indicate which scents from our "Scent Bar" they like, then a friendly Perfumer expertly blends scents on tester strips for the guests to sample. When their favorite is picked it goes into a choice of 1 oz. bottles. BOTTLE IS INCLUDED Also, we're are BYOB, so feel free to make it a little event. :) You'll have the appointment time for anywhere between 45min to 2 hours depending on your group size (45min for groups of 2, etc.). Women, Men, Couples, Mothers Daughters, Best friends all have fun creating scents together. **Groups of 5+ are $65 per person and have a 20% service fee included on the non-sale amount to be paid in shop :) 2.2oz bottles are given for this. 1. Guests join us at our space Studio W.I.P. and dive into the world of spray paint and urban art. All instruction is done by local artists. Each guest will go home with their very own piece of the mural to remember their night. 2. Upon entering guests can relax and enjoy our ever changing gallery. Feel free to bring a beverage. It's BYOB! Guests will unleash their inner street artist on a 50ft wall! This interactive workshop will turn guests into the artist and be guided along the way. Experimenting with lettering, stencils, aerosol, & cap technique guests will experience something truly unique. 3. Our main objective is to break down stereotypes that often are connected with spray paint. Guests will leave with curiosity and basic skills when applying aerosol to boot.

I will give guests an owner-guided tour of Green Bird Cellars, our 15 acre organic winery and farm located in a magical valley in Leelanau County, Michigan. We believe in fully integrated farming practices that use animals to help prune, mow, and fertilize our apple orchard, grape vines, and veggie garden, which we farm for fresh and hard cider, wine, and vegetables all sold in our tasting room. We will explore the workings of our vineyard and wine cellar, from vine to bottle, as well as see our animal helpers along the way - sheep and chickens! We will start in the orchard, then check on our young grape vines before going to the pasture pen to see the animals. After a stop in the veggie garden we will go see the mature grape vines After touring the farm and learning about different aspects of growing wine grapes, raising animals, and growing organic vegetables, we will go through the cellar where the wine magic happens, and learn about the process of making our low-intervention, estate-grown wine and cider. Finally, guests will be given samples of some of our wines and ciders in a guided tasting. Guests will leave with a knowledge of the inner-workings of a small family farm that is making great tasting wine and cider in a way that regenerates the landbase and heals the Earth.

Enjoy an exciting day kayaking the beautiful north Branch and main Manistee River in Kalkaska County, Michigan! As locals we offer an exciting and engaging experience that you will not find with any canoe livery or kayak rental. We take you on an Adventure! We will start at C&A Adventure in Fife Lake, Michigan. We will begin by determining your skill level, review safety measures, fit you for the right kayak, and go over kayak river skills. Next, we will have you follow us with your vehicle to the end point (when finished you will have your car). We will return to C&A Adventure and begin our experience on the north branch of the Manistee which is not a regularly kayaked river due to no public access. There are multiple portages with a few technical areas, which can be an awesome experience for those looking for a challenge. It also allows for you to take in the beauty not experienced by many. Our paddle will begin with the north branch of the Manistee River where it confluences with the Main branch of the Manistee River. The time to reach this point will be dependent on skill level for portaging and technical skills. Once we reach the confluence you will enjoy a nice, relaxing paddle to our lunch spot. Once we have completed lunch and you have enjoyed frolicking in the river we will continue paddling to the final destination, at the sandbanks on Dutch John Rd.

We will meet, introduce ourselves, go over the books and materials that I have brought. We will then venture out into the woods. We will look at and discuss the vegetation, and fungus that we see along our walk. We will collect specimens that are allowed to be removed from the National Lakeshore or Nature Preserve. We will identify what the group does not already know using the reference materials that I have brought.
