“This is a great spot for a Spring or early Summer picnic and boasts impressive views of the surrounding neighbourhoods. On a clear day, you might well catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji in the distance. This park is also a popular spot for residents of Daikanyama and Nakameguro to walk the already mentioned extremely over pampered dogs. additionally, it’s a great spot to catch the sunset, so depending on timing you could loop back here at the end of your walk.”

“Trees are the big attraction at this park, and for good reason: it started life as the Meguro Experimental Nursery in 1900 (later the Forestry Research Station) before becoming a public park in the late ’80s. The park’s handsome crop of trees includes towering zelkovas, poplars and camphors, as well as some unusual and foreign species. It also attracts a number of wild birds so ornithologists can put their binoculars to good use, and if you have the kids in tow there are several playgrounds for them to swing about on, as well as a splashing pond to cool off in during the summer months. “The Meguro River (目黒川 Meguro-gawa) is a river which flows through Tokyo, Japan. Its tributaries include the Kitazawa River and the Karasuyama River. The river flows into Tokyo Bay near the Tennōzu Isle Station.The river is 7.82km in length and passes through Setagaya, Meguro and Shinagawa wards.The river banks are extensively landscaped and act as an urban green space for communities along its length. Close to the source of the river in Setagaya, the river is divided vertically between an large underground storm drain and surface level landscaped ornamental stream.
