We will ride on our bicycles through our hometown making our way to three different cenotes around our community. Physical wear with the bicycles is minimum. We spend most of the time in the water. Riding the bicycles will be, 20-25 mins(total). Distance from cenote to cenote is 5-10 mins. Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not be the place that you will have your experience. After you book I will send out the location. It will be either Lutz, Odessa, or S. Saint Petersburg. If you book first, I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment used in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you for being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: PLEASE BRING BOOTS or Tennis shoes. There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please choose a different experience. We want you to come away feeling alive and in tune with the natural world. You will be wearing a full bee suit.

Your 1.5+ hour interactive nature experience with the bees begins with a multimedia overview of the life of a bee. You’ll see a hive and learn how to hold a frame (without squishing the bees -they don’t like that). We’ll get suited up. Light a smoker. Do a safety check, and approach the hive. At the hive you’ll see and feel the power of propolis (a supplement for humans as well) -- its the glue bees use to seal up the hive. We’ll lift the lid and go inside. For some, that’s might be as far as they want to go. But, if you’re adventurous, we will do a complete hive inspection: Pull frames to see how the bees create honey and keep the colony alive. You’ll see open “wet cells” of nectar that are still in the process of transforming into honey. You’ll see capped honey, tiny freshly laid eggs and all the stages of bee development ( larvae, caped brood, and newly emerging “baby bees”). I’ll show you how beekeepers help control pests (other insects and diseases) and keep the bees healthy so they can do their important work. You’ll hold frames of bees and feel the weight of a full frame of honey when compared to a frame of bees. There’s always time for selfies. You’ll sample honey & enjoy a cold beverage sweetened with honey. This is Ecco tourism with some of mother nature’s most important workers.

Guests will enjoy an experience on our small, family-run hobby farm. They will have the opportunity to cuddle with our goats, pet our miniature cows, get up close and personal with our friendly turkey, and take in the beautiful scenery of our farm. The first portion of the tour is guided animal interactions, but then guests are able to wander and take in the beauty of the property, enjoy their own picnic lunch, or fish in our catch-and-release pond!

Then, moving on to the unique experience of preparing an authentic Mexican meal from scratch! We try to always use traditional utensils, like metate and molcajete, to have a real cooking experience. Many of the dishes you will learn and help cook come from my own family’s cookbook. By the end of the class, we sit down in one table to share the food and the experience itself! Conocerás la abeja melipona sin aguijón y podrás degustar su miel y aprender un poco mas acerca de la polinización y la vida y costumbres de este insecto declarado recientemente por la ONU el ser vivo mas importante del planeta. Tras la visita emprenderemos al melipona río nos dirigiremos a nuestra unidad de manejo ambiental para conocer de cerca las actividades e iremos por un sendero en la jungla hasta llegar a 200 metros a un magnifico cenote subterráneo donde podrás zambullirte y nadar en sus aguas iluminadas y cristalinas.

Then, Jose´s mom will show you how to cook in our local style, having the opportunity to understand when, why, and how we prepare each dish. Finally, we will enjoy tasting the different plates that we prepared and, in that moment, when we are laughing and sharing our personal stories under the rhythm of drums, you will realize that the simple act of eating assumes mystical dimensions and has the power to bring strangers together like family. At the end of the day you will know how flavors, music and dance tell the story of the desires and struggles of our African ancestors. This experience focuses on the difficult process of making a cigar. From the hand of an experienced cigar roller we will learn to make an examplar, we will explain all the specificities that accompany the process of making this product, from the time it is grown, until it reaches your hands. This will be the perfect time for our CIGAR CHALLENGE, after which we will reward the best cigar roller of the experience. After choosing our winner (special ceremony included), we will go on to what we consider to be an authentic ritual: the smoking of the habano, action that we will combine with other delights, giving way to an excellent pairing among cigars, rum and coffee. And then, SURPRISE, a second contest!! We will be competing among each other to select the person who manages to keep the longest cigar ash, and the one who best performs some other tricks we will be teaching you. This is called: LONG ASH CONTEST. At the end of the experience more gifts will come, and that is because we do not want you to leave without taking with you souvenirs related to this experience, so you will be bringing home with you some amazing memories but also little things that will forever remind you of Cuba. Akumal es el “Lugar de las Tortugas” en lengua Maya. Este santuario es un refugio y área protegida para las tortugas marinas. Nosotros; Martín y Melqui somos guías locales, qué crecimos desde niños en esta pequeña comunidad. Para nosotros es un privilegio llevarte a hacer snorkeling y nadar con tortugas blancas, verdes, con suerte peces de colores, arrecife de coral, rayas, calamares, y barracudas. ¿Estás list@ para cenotear? Visitaremos 2 cenotes y 1 hacienda (hermoso edificio histórico) en este día de aventura en la jungla maya y probablemente (con suerte) los tendremos solo para nosotros (según la temporada y el día) o al menos no encontraremos una multitud en ellos. (Perfecto para familias, parejas, grupos de amigos y viajeros solos). El primero es un cenote de caverna, con agua azul safiro (no fría) desde donde apreciaremos hasta el fondo del mismo. El segundo cenote es un círculo abierto de forma perfecta con una increíble agua esmeralda rodeado por árboles. Disfruta de las impresionantes vistas de estas formaciones rocosas con millones de años mientras nadas, exploras, flotas, ¡saltas desde casi 10 mts! (solo para los más aventureros) o simplemente te relajas en cada uno de estos cenotes tomando fotos. Permaneceremos de 45 mins a 1 hra (dependiendo de ti) en cada cenote, sin prisas. Making a Classic Spanish Paella with Chef Roy. You will be learning to cook a Classic Seafood Paella from scratch while having Chef Roy relay wonderful experiences and memories from his travels in Spain over the years. Once the step by step ingrediencies are prepared the guest will enjoy a delicious meal of Seafood Paella. At the end of the Class guest will have the knowledge and ability to prepared Paella that will impress their family and friends.

Discover some of St. Augustine’s best pastry, pralines, chocolate and more while exploring 450 years of awesome St. Augustine history! Each of our tours is as much about local history as it is about chocolate. Our local guides have gone to great lengths to understand the areas we take you to so we can share some of its fascinating stories. With personable guides and small groups, it should always feel like having a friend in St. Augustine. We will visit 5 of our favorite sweet stops in downtown, and as well as sampling on tour, we provide a thermal bag for you with extra take home goodies from each stop for you to enjoy later! This experience will provide guests with a personal insight into traditional European food, from how to create it, to its history, to the nuances of its ingredients. Guests should feel not only that they just learned new things that they can incorporate into their cooking at home, but also as if they just stepped into a mini European vacation! The host, a German-born chef, will provide step-by-step instructions on how to make popular German dishes and encourage the guests to get involved and help with the process. With a host who has firsthand knowledge of European cuisine, guests will be treated to traditional knowledge, history, and music while they cook. At the end, the guests can enjoy the fruits of their labor and chow down on their gourmet creations. They'll also be sent on their way with copies of the recipes of the meals they just perfected so they can recreate them at home over and over again!

On this uniquely curated experience, you and your licensed, knowledgeable guide will stroll around the charming streets of St. Augustine, the oldest city in the nation, discovering some of our favorite Florida craft beers, all while discovering 450 years of amazing St. Augustine history. As part of this journey, we will visit notable landmarks, unique brewpubs, and state-of-the-art tap rooms, all while learning about the legacy of the Ancient City.

Te introducirás en el laboratorio alquímico, dentro de la ciudad de Mérida, para conocer sobre la medicina herbolaria Maya y realizar tu propio Aceite esencial con plantas de la región. Te recibiremos en nuestro centro de bienestar para conocer nuestro jardín medicinal donde podrás oler y observar más de 40 especies que se utilizan dentro de la herbolaria Maya. Conocerás los aceites esenciales de diferentes destilados de plantas que crecen en Yucatán. Realizaremos todo el proceso de extracción del aceite esencial, desde moler la planta e introducirla al matraz hasta la obtención del aceite por medio de la destilación. Observarás el proceso mágico de la Destilación donde lo visible se vuelve invisible para volverse una materia purificada, llena de propiedades medicinales. Explicaremos el proceso y las bases de la alquimia para comprender la medicina natural desde una perspectiva holística y crear una medicina para cuerpo y alma. Al final, cada participante se llevará 2 frascos con parte del aceite esencial destilado y el hidrosol, para compartir y difundir la palabra de la importancia de conocer los aceites esenciales y las plantas de nuestro alrededor. PD. La destilación es un proceso mágico y de purificación de la materia. En caso de obtener solo unas gotas por participante se les ofrecerá 1ml de algún otro Aceite esencial que tengamos disponible

Today will be a day of Maya immersion, away from asphalt cities, surrounded by pure and beautiful connection with nature. We'll start with a visit to the archaeological site of Coba, one of the largest and most important cities in this region. Here, we'll bike along some of its significant paths that connect different spaces. We'll learn a lot about the Maya people, their life, culture, and history, and in the end, we'll create our own story about them. Once the visit is over, we'll head to a Maya community where we'll spend some time with a local family. They'll show us some of their daily activities, their garden, and share stories about their plants and any anecdotes that come to mind. It's the perfect place to realize how much can be done with the bare essentials! We prioritize small groups for an intimate atmosphere, though please be aware, for groups fewer than 4, an extra 400 mxn pp will be charged to cover operational costs (not applicable for private bookings).
