“There’s plenty of history to be seen in Cebu City, and Fort San Pedro is one such historic location. First built as a wooden fort around 1565, the current structure is a triangular bastion fort that has been around since 1738. Nowadays, Fort San Pedro no longer houses soldiers but a museum, an open-air theater, and the Cebu office of the Department of Tourism. If you’re looking to be transported back to colonial times, Fort San Pedro is the place to go. Type: Tourist attraction Location: A. Pigafetta Street, Cebu City, 6000 Cebu Directions: Fort San Pedro is a 40-minute drive from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport. From the airport, take Lapu-Lapu Airport Rd to M.L. “Stop off at the Loboc River Resort for excellent and well-priced local cuisine enjoyed beside the Loboc river. Maybe Kayak up the river, 600m zip-line across the rapids, see the 2nd smallest primates in the world at the Tarsier sanctuary, swim in the wonderful waterfalls at Balilihan or just enjoy the spectacular views of rice paddies or the man-made forest. A great day out with scooter or minivan. ”

“Whilst it is obviously nice to dine on the beach the restaurants there tend to be expensive, some with questionable quality. Best thing is to look carefully at what is on offer at the restaurants leading to the beach on the approach road. I highly recommended Non Beach Restaurants such as SHAKA ( Healthy Alternatives) and BARWOO ( Asian Fusion). Check out on TripAdvisor. In my experienced opinion, the best beach dining option is at Henann Resort situated at the far end. Arrive for Happy Hour Cocktails from 5pm - 7pm at their lovely beach bar and then transfer to Seebreeze Restaurant at 7pm for their fabulous International Buffet. Not the cheapest but undoubtedly one of the best for overall value for 'all you can eat'.”

“If you like to pamper yourself, it has 3 restaurants there serving Chinese, Western and Local cuisines. Very comfortable environment and great services. This is one of the largest Shangri-la with many swimming pools and private beach. The game room there also has pool table, pinball machines, video arcades...etc. Great place to wind down after a busy scuba-diving, island-hopping day.”

“Founded in 1565, it is the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country. The church was formally made into a basilica by Pope Paul VI in 1965. It is great place to see great baroque style architecture and pay homage to the infant Jesus.”

“Cebu is not only known for almost a hundred of sprouting tourist destinations from north to south but also for its unique and delicious food. As you stroll around Cebu, one wouldn’t have the complete experience without visiting Larsian sa Fuente. It is known as one of the to-go BBQ places from people here in Cebu, Balikbayan, and often the most recommended for first-timers and tourists in Cebu. ”
