Private queen suite in great Lucas Valley Eichler Home overlooks serene back yard with lawn, seating and a patio table and chairs.
My Upper Lucas Valley location is perfect for exploring San Francisco, The Wine Country and Pt. Reyes National Seashore.
This suite is typically available on holiday and occasional other weekends, or for a week or more during vacation periods.
Registered guests only (including any children travelling with you). This room accommodates up to two people. If you will be travelling with a companion, be sure to indicate that the reservation is for two people. An additional person may be accommodated; I can provide an inflatable single mattress on the floor for a third. This is most suitable for a child travelling with you.
If you do bring your children you must book them as guests. Please have them be on their best behavior, and plan to take advantage of the neighborhood amenities and wealth of recreational opportunities in the area.
If you are a couple travelling with more than one child, or just want a room to yourselves, consider booking the Charming Lucas Valley Twin or Lovely Lucas Valley Courtyard Double in addition to the Queen Suite. You can request a special offer for more than one room.
I live a quiet lifestyle and do not allow parties at the house, but I won't mind if you want to indulge in a glass of wine or whatever. The shared sitting room is available for any snacks or take out meals, you may also have breakfast in the family room/kitchen or courtyard.
Limited kitchen privileges include use of the microwave, some space in the fridge and a spot for your other food. You may also use the household dishes should you want for snacks or take out meals. Full kitchen privileges may be arranged at an additional cost, depending on availability. You may do this for one or more days, just ask me what you would like and I will do my best to accommodate.
No indoor smoking or pets; You may smoke on the patio; ask for an ashtray, please.
I have two nearly identical, mellow cats. Occasionally, there is a yellow lab visiting, but let me know if this is an issue and the pooch can stay home.
Note that I do allow same day bookings, but if at all possible, a day's notice is more manageable.
This bedroom has been recently carpeted so I ask that you not bring coffee or red wine into the room, although water, white wine or herbal tea is OK. The sitting room is a nice place to relax with a glass of wine and I do not have restrictions in there or any non-carpeted area you have access to.
Be sure to review additional details for information on what it is like to stay in my home. It is relatively quiet here, but it is a private home with comings and goings.
I am an energetic professional with extensive travel throughout Western Europe, North and Central America. I love student exchange and have hosted several high school students from Germany, The Netherlands and Ukraine. Originally from San Francisco, I now live in Marin County within easy driving distance from the wine country and the Pt. Reyes National Seashore.
I have done home exchange a few times, including the Netherlands, Belgium and New Orleans.
I can't live without books, fresh delicious food, natural swimming, dance and, of course, travel!
I am an easy-going, self-sufficient guest and a knowledgeable, fun host!
