Comfortable and spacious two-bedroom townhome in a small friendly complex, close to Intel, Hillsboro airport, light rail, shopping, library, and Dawson Creek park. Backs up to a peaceful wetland, providing a very private feel.
This three-story townhouse has a spacious kitchen / breakfast area, living / dining room (with gas fireplace), and half-bath on the main floor (up one flight of stairs from the front door). On the third floor are the master bedroom with a king sized bed and bathroom with shower, and the queen bedroom, with a bathtub/shower in the hall between the two. The washer & dryer are also on the third floor. Both bedrooms have A/C. There is no A/C on the main floor, but window fans are available.
Guest access is through the front door. Please park in the garage if possible (clicker available) there's also room to park one car in the driveway, or park in any of the spaces in the complex parking. There are no reserved spaces, all parking spaces are available for residents and guests.
The townhome is three stories. Only the garage is on the bottom floor, the main living space on the second floor, and the bedrooms are on the top (third) floor. Be sure to take that into consideration if anyone in your party has issues with climbing stairs. Because of the stairs and high windows we don't recommend this accomodation for people with young children.
Depending on the day of the week, the owners will be available either immediately (within a few minutes) or at most in a couple of hours. Plan to meet us on your first day to get the key and get shown around.
PLEASE READ THIS: The minimum rental period 1 month, maximum 3 months. We may be flexible depending on the time of year, etc. Note that bookings of 31 days or more are not subject to the rather hefty state and county transient room tax.
Booking here is considered a lease agreement, and constitutes an assurance that you will abide by our house rules (see below) and those of the condo association which we will send to you prior to confirming the reservation. Prior to accepting any booking request, we will require confirmation that you have read and will adhere to the House Rules. It's not just the usual boilerplate so be sure to read that and are comfortable with the terms. Including a statement such as, "I have read and agree to the house rules" in your initial booking request will help expedite the process.
No smoking/vaping, no weapons, no drugs, no pets. The unit is a "fragrance-free zone" -- if you use perfumes, colognes, hair-gels, incense, or other aromatic products, especially air fresheners or other "fabreeze" type products, this is not the place for you. When washing bedding and towels, use only the "Ecos" low-fragrance detergent (we provide this but it can also be purchased at the nearby Costco or New Seasons market). And NO DRYER SHEETS due to the residue that they leave on the sheets, towels & bedding.
The units have good sound-proofing, nevertheless be courteous to nearby residents by avoiding excessive noise, and keep the TV down between 10pm and 8am. Watch for children when driving in, and stay at or below the posted 15MPH speed limit.
We split our time between the townhouse and our house on the coast, and commute between the two, often using our small airplane to do so. We love watching the wildlife out the back window and walking in the park near the townhome, and frequently visit the superb county library which is located right in the park, an easy walk from the place. If we're there when guests are renting, we'll be using the separate room off the garage (below the rest of the living space). We may knock on the door to make sure things are going okay for you but will otherwise make ourselves invisible unless needed.
